What do you think it takes in order to become the “best version of you”?
Do you think that when I suggest that we all need to be better, it is diminishing or an insult?
I know people always say to “just love yourself exactly as you are” and some see it as a negative comment when I suggest that they could “change”.
It goes without saying that we should “love ourselves as we are”… but I also think that part of loving ourselves is doing what it takes to raise and adopt new levels of understanding, Education is power when it's adopted and implemented.
If you are totally happy with your life, relationship, finances, appearance and everything else, I'd say just keep doing what you are doing, as you are happy…
But is doing nothing standing still OR actually going backwards???
If you decide to just stand still, won’t the world and life continue to change and evolve around you? So, is it true to say that you wouldn’t actually be standing still, but in a relative sense, you’d be going backwards?
If you aren't happy with something in your life eg. relationship, finances, appearance or anything else, the only way I know to improve that is to get new tools, resources, skills and support and implement the learnings and take massive action.
So why do people resist change so much? What are they afraid of and why does the ego get triggered?
The only way from A to B is to upskill and take action. The same two traits are required to get you from where you are in life, to where you want to be.
When we do the same thing over and over, we will get the same outcome as a result… That's because if we knew how to do it any differently from the way we first did it, we would have done it differently.
Expecting a different result but not changing any of the “ingredients” (processes) just doesn't work.
It keeps you stuck, wears you down, leaves you frustrated, confused and it just reaffirms your established, entrenched patterns. These patterns are then used as an excuse not to change.
Acquiring Change is what gives us the tools to move forward and expands our minds to be open to new ways of being. I know the more I learn the more I realise I don't know.
Freedom and choice come when we see life as an adventure and love to learn, grow and improve. Does that mean that we are broken or that there's something wrong with us? NO – it's actually quite the opposite…
I can't image how different my life would have been if I didn't go on a quest to develop my mind from an early age.
Expanding our level of understanding and gaining emotional intelligence set's you up to WIN the game of life. An expanded mind can never retract back to where it once was. When we expand our mind, everything changes in our life… on a physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual level.
So, would you be offended or take exception if someone were to suggest that “you should change”?
Do you think that it implies there's something wrong with you or do you view change as essential and necessary?
I personally believe that in life there are 3 C's: CHOICE, CHANCE & CHANGE. You must make the CHOICE, to take the CHANCE, if you want anything to CHANGE!
Have a great day and change what you need to so you can live an empowered life.
It'll be the best 45 minutes you've spent on your love life and way more effective than being stuck
